The main characters name is Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin's Creed 3. Edward is known as a Privateer, Assassin and occasional pirate. The games location is set in the Caribbean on multiple island including Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas.
The current game is running on the Xbox 360, but has plans for next generation console's as well.
The poster reveals our assassin cloaked in a white outfit on a pirate ship surrounded by buccaneers (with one who looks very very similar to BlackBeard) brandishing swords and flint-lock pistols. A cliche' skull and cross bones is flowing in the wind and the situation looks like a hardy battle. This poster seems to set the game within the 1600s; the golden age of piracy.
The screenshot is covered in coloured orbs floating around our assassin as he is dawning a different set of clothes; upgraded armour perhaps.
